South Padre Island has a lot of pressure on accommodations for weekend stays practically year round. We know that working people may want to just take off a Friday to do a Thursday to Sunday trip to not have to take off of work.
With that said, if you can make it happen, booking a trip Sunday to Thursday will save you 3% off to as much as 65% off weekend rates. For example, a Thursday to Sunday 3 night stay in a beachfront condo may cost $1050 plus tax and cleaning. Going Sunday to Wednesday for 3 nights would be $700 plus tax and cleaning.
This isn’t so real “special” — anyone can take advantage of it without some coupon or discount code. The other side of the coin is, many people prefer less people/more of a “beach to themselves” – midweek is your best choice!

Not all people are like us…but we LOVE a great travel deal. South Padre has the clearest water in September, and the dates of September 15 to December 23rd is truly “cheap” travel to the Island
Whereas a 2 bedroom beachfront condo for 1 week on Padre in June can cost upwards of $2500 for one full week…how does ONE FULL MONTH during this fall time sound to you for the same price? Or a full week about $1000?
The biggest upside? Occupancy levels of 25% weekdays to perhaps 50% weekends at the highest means simply deserted beaches all to yourself to enjoy. Crowds are fun sometimes…but other times to relax and read a book and sip a margarita with no one around…that’s peace & quiet on top of the discount.
Like to fish? Well….in the Fall with 75% less tourists the fish are not so harassed by boat traffic and the fishing is great!
With the ability of many to work remote now, why not take a break from your spot for a break on our beach? 100% of our properties are required to have internet/WIFI so your ability to work is not hampered.

For our senior Texas Snowbirds and Winter Texan visitors, we offer great monthly rates. The cheapest months are October & November, followed by January. February is not as low of cost as the Island remains over 90% booked with retirees that month.
Plan on checking out by March 3rd or 4th to avoid any spring break students, as well as rate increases. With this in mind, understand we do have properties in March with no students allowed.
If you stay 30 days or more, you avoid the 17% hotel/motel occupancy tax which is a nice discount. We do have several dog friendly units for an additional security deposit if you have a Fido.

Add $250 to $500 per month for direct beachfront accommodations depending on sizes. Direct beachfront in March is quite expensive on surcharges after March 4th, please note.
Book 2 or more months a typical discount is 5 to 15%. 3 months or more 10 to 20%
Have a Fido (Dog?) We have a 1 time pet fee of $75 due. All units have a 1 time cleaning fee of $99 to $199 depending on unit size. No tax is charged for stays over 30 days. A nominal REFUNDABLE damage deposit is required at time of check in. A 50% non refundable deposit is due at time of booking, please just ask.
