If you have people in your group that are a tad particular in quality, Tortuga Bay should satisfy them.
This 3 level townhome is bayfront. Each level has it’s own private patio. The property has a gorgeous heated walk in “beach” style pool with palm trees and fantastic afternoon sun overlooking the Laguna Madre Bay.
The ground floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and flat screen to the left as you enter. The back of the ground floor has a pull out couch that is a full sized bed (bring bedding) and a bunk bed that each mattress is a full sized as well and top bunk holds weight. Under the bunk bed is a trundle/pull out single bed as well. This room also has a cool wet bar and mini fridge with a flat screen. You can walk right out to the patio and the pool area There is a shared full bath on this floor. There is also a full washer/dryer set up though we do not provide detergent.
2nd floor is the kitchen, a half bath, bar area with 3 stools, and dining room table that free flows to the living room overlooking the bay with yet another patio. There is plenty of room to entertain and this room is so bright and uplifting to enjoy with your family. There is a pull out couch in the living room as well.
The 3rd floor has the final and truly amazing master suite as it encompasses an entire floor of this townhome. There are dual sinks, a walk in shower, master bath has a massive walk in shower with frameless door.
The King Sized bed has another flatscreen, two easy chairs to enjoy, as well as a wonderful desk that you can work at that overlooks the bay. This room is beyond spacious and private from the rest of your clan.After all, you paid right? 🙂
We allow up to 12 guests, and yes a baby is a guest. Please be aware there is “shoulder to shoulder” sleeping space for 12 people. That is up to you please bring an airbed (s) and additional bedding.
There are very rare/hard to find community boat docks if you have a shallow sport or dargal or any flats boat you can use them. I do state that high tide may be required and these are first come/first serve use. We do not have access to a launch ramp though about 300 yards away you can launch a boat between Lobo del Mar and Longboards Bar free of charge. Please be aware on property there is no place to park your boat though there is some public parking along west polaris drive some free street parking (cannot guarantee)
For those staying over 3 nights our office South Padre Trips located 3800 Padre Blvd has free linen and towel exchange between 10 am and 4 pm.
This property is walking distance to dozens of “south end” bars and restaurants, including Captain Roys (best seafood dive and Mexican Plate), Louies, Liam’s Steakhouse, Longboards Cafe, Lobo del Mar, Coconut Jacks, BOBs, Driftwood, Tequila Sunsets, Russo’s Italian, Gabriellas, #1 Yummies Cafe, & Johnny Rockets, and even nearly across street from CVS for basic items. Location fantastic.
We like to note that while we give you 2 parking permits, there is only 1 guarantee spot in front of the condo. On the weekends, guest parking can be unavailable. If this happens, we recommend parking at the Post Office as it is free, well lit, police patrolled and they do not tow. Parking of boats/trailers there though is not permitted overnight.
One additional drawback here is for people that do not like stairs, this property would not be for you. We dig the multi levels as it gives more privacy than a 1 level would ever afford you.
